P#PassNumber

Choose what only you
will recognize.

Pick a grid size, then in each row tap one symbol to remember. Leave a row on Neglect to type any number there at login. At least half the rows must hold a symbol. We store only a salted hash, never your symbols.

Advanced security — optional, for shoulder-surf protection

This makes it harder for someone watching you to reuse what they saw, at the cost of a little guessing-strength. It's off by default. Only turn it on if you can remember the extra rule.

Honest note: this lets the server accept more entry variants, which slightly lowers raw guessing-strength (~2 bits). Worth it if your main worry is someone watching; skip it if you'd rather keep it simplest.

salted-hash storage · single-use board
A working demonstration of the PassNumber method. Your symbols are never stored — only a salted hash is.
